6 Week Meditation Course - With Alex Davids

Starting out on your meditation journey? Come along and learn the basics, with practice times building across the length of the course. Find deeper patience, a steadier mind and a more consistent calm energy in your life.

Learn about physical elements such as posture, proper breath, as well as how to find and stay in present moment awareness, how to develop the length of your sitting times and address any of the mindset barriers we put in the way of our practice.

We'll also discuss how we practically fit in a meditation practice and what the real benefits of a consistent practice can be. Open to anyone wishing to learn.

Positive Birth Prep Retreat - With Helen Bartrom

An exciting local collaboration, brings you “The Inner Studio” - a compassionate space to explore inner harmony through mindful body/mind awareness and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Yoga teacher Sandey Hoskin of Point Wells partners with psychologist Jodie Main of Snells Beach to offer a workshop series designed to help you listen deeply to your body and your mind.

Sandey is the Curator and Facilitator of Inspire Yoga Teacher Training NZ and Jodie is an experienced health psychologist with a passion for Internal Family Systems (IFS) who has been working with clients in the Warkworth district for more than 15 years. Working side by side in trauma-informed yoga, they discovered a shared vision: to blend yoga with Internal Family Systems for deeper inner work.

This program blends trauma-informed yoga with the reflective clarity of IFS. You’ll learn to notice parts that show up as physical symptoms, self-talk, or unhelpful behaviours, and you’ll practice with guidance that keeps your safety and integrity at the forefront. Through a blend of yoga, meditation, and group exercises, you’ll access your inner parts with care and compassion, and begin to hear your Inner Self - the calm, compassionate leader within. Doing this can allow the parts to relax, step back, and resolve inner conflict. This can lead to a greater sense of flow and calm in everyday life. 

Jodie shares; “Internal Family Systems is an exciting path for inner development. We all have parts that can contribute to stress. You might notice an inner critic, an overburdened rescuing part, or a part that just doesn’t feel good enough. Sometimes these parts can be in conflict. There may be a part that wants to move in a healthy, energising way, and another part that just wants to rest.”

Sandey is an experienced teacher who brings the wisdom of the yoga traditions to the workshop, with guided yoga practices focused on somatics, inner connection, grounding and personal reflection

Ayurveda Day Retreat With Ayurveda NZ

This will be an authentic experience of Ayurvedic food, treatments, cleansing practices, educational talks and Yoga in a tranquil setting just a 50 minutes north of Auckland.

Escape for the day and immerse yourself in the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. Learn about its history, philosophy, basic principles, and daily rituals. The program will include a traditional Hatha Yoga class, morning tea and lunch with nourishing Ayurvedic food, an 'Introduction to Ayurveda' talk, a workshop with demonstrations of Ayurvedic cleansing techniques and a relaxing Yoga Nidra session. 

Each participant will receive an Ayurvedic treatment called Shiro Abhyanga while listening to the educational talks sitting on a conformable massage chair. Shiro Abhyanga involves massaging the scalp, neck, and shoulders with warm medicated herbal oils. Based on a preliminary questionnaire and a physical assessment we will determine your dosha (body-mind constitution) to select a suitable medicated oil for your Shiro Abhyanga massage.
